Congratulations to Emily Tobuck who was named Southern Vice-President and Maria Oliveria who was named Historian for the HOSA First Coast Region. Both students are active members of our health academy and HOSA Club .
Students in EKG classes practice their vital signs skills. These students last year became BLS certified and are ready to but their skills to use!
Future Healthcare Professional academy students start their much awaited hospital rotations! Thank you to UF Health St Johns for believing in immersing students in the hospital setting. Students will spend their class time during first semester rotating through many areas of the hospital as the shadow the medical staff.
HOSA welcomed our new academy students with breakfast today. This annual event allows current students to meet the new members of their academy. We are excited for a great school year and glad you have joined the Falcon Family!
Students in our HOSA chapter made “Thank You ” baskets for each department in the hospital. These departments welcomed our allied health students this year as they shadowed and learned first-hand from the many medical professionals at UF Health St Johns. Thank you for inspiring our students in all areas of the medical industry.
Healthcare academy students spent the day teaching Hartley elementary students many valuable lessons of a healthy lifestyle. Academy students made stations and the elementary students learned in an interactive fun environment. Great to see our students giving back to our younger students in the county.
Students had an amazing hands-on learning experience as Mary Meade, RN volunteered as a guest speaker for our healthcare academy students.
Thank you to Jen Butler for presenting to our healthcare academy students today. Students learned about the many career opportunities SJCFR has to offer. Students had training to be able to participate in riding with local EMTs to see firsthand their amazing work.
