Academy of Innovation in the Built Environment
The electives in the Academy of Innovation in the Built Environment will offer students an opportunity to explore careers in the various fields of Construction Management. Students will have hands-on experiences in design and construction, participate in job-shadowing rotations and gain real-world experiences in the construction field. This academy is focused on developing a deep understanding of construction management related industry certifications, and innovations in construction design. Engineering, design, and project construction management are integral components of the course. Projects allow students to experiment with materials and learn safety procedures that are integral construction concepts.
Mission
The Academy of Innovation in the Built Environment at Tocoi Creek High School will provide students with rigorous and relevant curriculum to prepare them for college and careers in the construction management field. Through business involvement, hands-on learning, and real-world experiences students will gain the knowledge, confidence, and relationships necessary to prepare them to reach their post-secondary goals.
