Todd Otto II is a 10th grade student at St. Augustine High School, and St. Johns County Academy scholar extraordinaire. Todd has made the strategic choice to enroll in not one, not two, but three Career Academy Programs: Academy of Law and Homeland Security, Aerospace Academy, and Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC). His interests are manifold and he bears the astute insight to recognize the value of enrolling in these three, separate academy programs. The industries comingle in real world settings in such jobs as (US Military) Airborne Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Pilot, Air Force Tactical Exploration of National Capabilities, US Intelligence Specialist and Maritime Surveillance Pilot. Not to mention the emerging 100,000 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS/drone) jobs, estimated by 2025.
Todd is illustrated in this photo in St. Augustine High School’s JROTC Bay, in front of St. Johns County’s Pillars of Character. He is a shining example of the qualities we impart and encourage in our students and can be seen illustrating these traits in each of his Academy classes, around campus and in the lunch courtyard. With his many interests and diligent study schedule, Todd manages to create a healthy work-life balance, sense of humor, and enjoys time with friends, family and pets.
