On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, a new group of St. Johns Technical High School (SJTHS) students began their internship at Carlisle Interconnect Technologies. Students get off 1/2 a day each Wednesday during the school year to have a paid internship at Carlisle IT. This year, 15 students are having this experience. The goal of the program is to have the students job-ready for a permanent job at Carlisle IT after they graduate, if they are interested and have done a good job during their internship. During the initial tour, the SJTHS students saw four alumni who are working there first shift, though other alumni work other shifts. This is a great program for students wanting to enter the workforce full-time immediately upon graduation. In the second photo, one of the interns visits with her two older sisters who both work for Carlisle IT.
