David McCrea (class of 2020) visited the Coastal & Water Academy to share with students his journey since graduation and his future plans working in the utility industry. McCrea landed a full-time job with the City of Bunnell a few months after graduation as a Water Collection and Distribution Technician Trainee. His short-term goal is to acquire certification as either a Collection Technician or Distribution Technician. His long-term goal is to become a Wastewater Treatment Operator.
He shared with soon-to-graduate Academy students that there is a wealth of careers in the utilities industry and he encouraged them to strongly consider a similar path. McCrea also presented technical information regarding various aspects of his job and the water collection and distribution system in Bunnell, Fl. His presence and message was a true inspiration to students as well as his former teachers and staff.
