Congratulations to Yooree Ha from Ponte Vedra High School for being selected as the 2014 – 2015 St. Johns County School District Sunshine State Scholar! Yooree is a junior in the Academy of Biotechnology and Medical Research as well as an accomplished musician and fencer. The Sunshine State Scholars program was designed to recognize students, teachers, and schools that achieved excellence in mathematics and science. High school seniors participated in a statewide competition that used their basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics,physics, chemistry, and biology to solve interdisciplinary problemsrequiring independent and creative thinking. Yooree, her parents and a teacher of her choice will be recognized at a statewide ceremony in February.
