Students from the Law & Homeland Security Academy represented St. Augustine High School with pride at the Florida Public Service Association (FPSA) Leadership Retreat this past weekend.
The Florida Public Service Association is a statewide organization that prepares high school students for careers in law enforcement, firefighting, emergency management, and other public service fields. The retreat brings together students and educators from across Florida to build leadership skills and strengthen connections within the public service community.
Our students chose to dress professionally for the Friday evening session and took the initiative to introduce themselves to teachers and peers from other schools. Their professionalism and courtesy earned praise throughout the event, with several attendees noting that they were the best dressed and most polite group in attendance.
The evening concluded with a keynote presentation from a Major with the Florida Highway Patrol, and our students had the opportunity to meet and pose for a photo with the guest speaker. They were an outstanding representation of both the Law & Homeland Security Academy and St. Augustine High School.
