The University of St. Augustine sent talented instructors to teach Toros in the Flagler Health + Academy of Future Healthcare Professionals all about joints, range of motion, and goniometry. Students were able to refresh their memory on the different types of joints present in the human body and the terminology used to explain the different body motions. After dusting off their cobwebs, students got to work testing out their own range-of-motion in different joints.
Students were able to see the connections between the geometry they learn in math class and goniometry used by PTs and OTs. Students were also able to learn a bit more about possible careers as both occupational and physical therapists.
