Creekside’s Environmental Academy recently completed a project where they designed and painted float boats sponsored by the University of Washington. These boats are then geotagged and released in the arctic to track sea ice changes and ocean circulation. Environmental students also participated in this project last year. A few days after their boats were released, there was a polar bear attack, and some of the boats had to be retagged.
