In a heartwarming display of community engagement and service, culinary students recently participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Dining with Dignity program—an initiative that provides hot meals 365 days a year to individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in St. Augustine.
Hosted by the City of St. Augustine and Home Again St. Johns, the event marked a significant milestone in the communities mission to restore dignity through daily nourishment. The students, representing the next generation of culinary professionals, not only witnessed the unveiling of a new Dining with Dignity facility but also had the unique opportunity to network with local dignitaries, including the Mayor of St. Augustine, City Commissioners, and dedicated staff and volunteers from Home Again St. Johns.
The ceremony was more than a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of how food can bring people together and serve as a bridge between communities.
