Creekside High School, along with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) hosted the 8th Annual Model Water Tower Competition on Saturday October 20th. Dozens of students from St. Johns County and from our surrounding counties designed and entered their model water towers, and their prototypes were judged based on 4 categories including cost efficiency, hydraulic efficiency, structural efficiency, and design ingenuity. Joey Watson, a senior in the Academy of Engineering and Environmental Sciences won 1st place at the event! The prize included a $200 scholarship!
