Career Academies are mandated to have Advisory Boards that meet at least quarterly to assist the Career Academy programs in validating the curriculum and industry certifications being given, speaking to classes, hosting field trips, providing summer internships, judging competitions, etc. Our academies would not be of the quality they are without good Advisory Boards made up of business partners, higher education representatives, parents, teachers, and administrators. Our largest Advisory Board is the IT Council (pictured above), which serves three Career Academies at three different high schools. Our appreciation is extended to everyone who serves on an Advisory Board. It truly does take a village to carry out a great Career Academy program!
