Career and Technical Education (CTE) of St. Johns County

SJVS Academy of Future Educators

This innovative four-year curriculum, now offered in a virtual format, is enriched with dual enrollment options and features a core set of exploratory teaching courses that allow students to begin student teaching while still in high school. The program provides a seamless transition into Florida’s university teacher preparation programs, ensuring students are well-prepared for the next step in their education. Through the academy model, participants benefit from small learning communities, a college-preparatory curriculum with a career focus, and partnerships with employers and mentors. For SJVS students, this virtual model represents an exciting new opportunity to explore the teaching profession from anywhere, combining flexibility with hands-on experience.
