Toros in the Flagler Health + Academy of Future Healthcare Professionals took their very first field trip of the year. Students were able to tour different departments of the hospital and learn the basics of what happens on a given unit. Students came home with a deeper understanding of the diversity of careers within a hospital setting, patient confidentiality, and hospital protocols. Students shared their favorite parts of the tour which included meeting healthcare professionals, seeing newborns, learning more about patient lifts, dialysis, and future opportunities working in a hospital setting.
