More than 2,000 students from all over the state competed in the annual DECA state competition, March 2-4. Bartram Trail DECA had a record performance qualifying 19 students to the international competition which will be held in Anaheim next month. Some events required the students to write a 30 page paper on a particular topic and give a 15 minute business presentation. Other events involved a test and the presentation of a business case role play. Students have been preparing for this competition since September 2016.
Our chapter also won the GOLD level chapter award which is based on our club activities. However, the real highlight of the weekend was the excellent behavior of the 63 students that attended from BT.
