Nease Electrathon Team Races Ahead of the Pack with Engineering Application

Nease’s Electrathon Team, part of a club associated with the school’s Stellar Academy of Engineering and sponsored by engineering teacher John Beale, has had a winning season so far this year! In early April, the team won third place at an Electrathon event that featured student-built electric cars from around the state, racing at FSCJ.

Then, on April 26th, the team represented Nease at the Electrathon Race in Cocoa at the Florida Solar Energy Center, as part of a day of electrically powered motorsports.  Out of a field of 9 high schools Nease came in second, missing 1st place by only 1 lap. Congratulations!  The team has one more race this year, in June. We wish them good luck!
