For the second year, the Career Academies of St. Johns sent students in academies related to engineering and construction to the NE FL Construction and Career Day held on April 5, 2016 at the Equestrian Center in Jacksonville. Over 100 businesses had interactive booths to expose students to a wide variety of careers in the field. The organization raised and paid approximately $72,000 to pay for transportation, lunches, site rental, etc. for students from four school districts to attend. Hundreds of business partners donated their time over three days for the various school districts to attend. We are deeply grateful for the time, effort and dollars given to ensure students are exposed to high demand jobs in NE FL!
