Grease is the Word! St. Johns Technical High School’s Used Cooking Oil Recycling Campaign

St. Johns Technical High School’s Academy of Coastal and Water Resources and the Academy of Culinary Arts students participated in their first Used Cooking Oil Collection Day. The collection drive was a success with nearly 50 gallons collected. That is 50 gallons of used oil that will not end up in our landfills or in our water systems! We appreciate all the donations and helping us get the word out.

IMG_1572Our work is not done! St. Johns Technical High School will be participating in a second collection drive after the holidays on 1/4/17 from 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Francis Field in St. Augustine and St. Johns County Utilities Wastewater Treatment Plant on Anastasia Island. This drive is a great opportunity for the residents of St. Johns County to recycle their holiday cooking oil responsibly.
