Mini-Internships Provide Maximum Impact for Nease Engineering Students

While other students may have been sleeping in or playing video games on the recent teacher planning day, 39 Nease engineering students were spending their morning working with local engineers around our area.  Stellar Academy of Engineering sophomores, juniors and seniors were invited to take part in mini-internship opportunities provided by 5 local business partners on Monday, October 12th. Students put on their best business attire and worked with engineers at Stellar, KLS Martin, Langan, Baker Construction, and Haskell.  Students were able to select a firm that best fit their interests, learning about engineering disciplines including environmental, civil, structural, electrical, biomedical, and construction management. From networking with professional engineers, to touring engineering world headquarters, to taking on and presenting the solution to an engineering challenge, these students had a great experience! We’d like to thank our business partners with Stellar, KLS Martin, Langan, Baker Construction, and Haskell for offering this incredible opportunity to our engineering academy students.
