Congratulations to Nease’s Electrathon team, a student organization aligned with the Stellar Academy of Engineering, who finished the 25-26 racing season at Daytona International Speedway in June with a big win! The race at Daytona is funded by Florida Power and Light and this year was even bigger with 25 schools many bringing 2-3 cars from all over Florida and a few from Georgia. Nease was able to run both of their cars, #550 and #220, for the full length of both races. After two hours of racing their lap totals put the #550 car in 5th place and the #220 in a stunning 3rd place finish. The club is structured and operates like a real race team, not just having student drivers, mechanics and engineers, but they also handle team finances, photography, and media coverage. We look forward to seeing what the 2026-27 race season has in store for our team!
