Applying to a Program of Interest
The application window to apply for a Program of Interest for the 2027-2028 school year will open on January 5, 2027, and will close at 5pm on January 25, 2027.
Programs of Interest include Career Academies, JROTC, AICE/IB programs, Early College Program, Early Career Program, St. Johns County Center for the Arts at St. Augustine High School, St. Johns County Center for the Arts at Murray Middle School, and the STEM Program at Sebastian Middle School. See the Registration Timeline for other important dates.
Who Can Apply?
- You must be a full-time, current 5th, 8th, or 9th grade student to apply.
- Full-time is defined as: enrolled in any combination of four or more courses at a St. Johns County School Disctict school, St. Johns County Virtual School, or Dual Enrollment.
- Part-time, private school, charter, home school, FLVS, and non-resident students cannot apply during this window. District registration opens to all students on March 1, 2027. After enrolling, these students can apply through the Space Available Application, based on seat availability. Application does not guarantee acceptance into a Program of Interest.
How to Apply
- Log in to Home Access Center (HAC) with the student’s username and password. (HAC directions)
- Complete the general application during the window above.
- Watch for a confirmation email. All communication is by email, so make sure addresses are current. Students can update theirs in HAC, and parents or guardians can update theirs through the student’s school.
If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours, contact the CTE Department.
Program Specific Requirements
- AICE and IB: Applicants must also meet academic criteria set by the school and program coordinator, which may include grades, test scores, and a Teacher Recommendation from each core subject teacher (language arts, math, science, social studies).
- Early College: See the Lottery and Application Process on the St. Johns River State College website.
